This software is free, but contributions and donations are welcome. Coollector Movie Database exists since more than 10 years and has been continuously improved. If you're a fan and want to support our work, you can become an official contributor. Method 1: contribute 100 character pictures to our database. Method 2: donate $9, we accept Credit Card or Paypal payments. The majority of our users don't contribute anything. I hope they like the app and they tell their friends about it. browse their catalogs of streaming movies and series to conveniently decide what to watch. I'm very thankful to the users who contribute, it's their giving back that makes all this possible. It can be an alternative way to get better Netflix recommendations, especially after Netflix recent changes (star ratings replaced by thumbs up/thumbs down, bad predictions, and Netflix pushing down your throat their in-house productions). Also thank you to the many users who help by reporting the bugs and errors they find, those who keep contributing pictures after they got their code, etc... This software includes a vast database of movies and series, richly illustrated with movie posters, person pictures, and character screenshots. Coollector Movie Database is the only program of its kind! The interface is highly customizable, with skins and adjustable layouts. You can publish your data on the internet, to access it from anywhere or to show to your friends. It's a personalized film database and at the same time a video collection organizer. Rating the movies you've seen is an important part of the program. All the alternative softwares are simply video collection organizers, where you start with an empty database, and must download information for each video, one by one. With Coollector Movie Database, it's completely different. Right from the start, you have an entire encyclopedia with nearly all the movies and series that exist. Since it's installed on your computer, you can use it even when you're offline. The interface is very easy to use, and richly illustrated with film posters, video covers, photographs of actors and crew, and even character screenshots. You can customize the layout to your liking, and make almost any search you can think of, without needing to be a database engineer. The best part is that you can personalize that movie database. You can rate a film to remember whether it was good or bad. You can track which part of a series you've already seen, by rating whole seasons or individual episodes. You can tag the movies and the persons with any words you want. You can organize your video collection, remembering what you own, where it's stored, or what you've loaned to whom. You can create a wish-list with all the movies that you'd like to watch. To help you even further in your choice, the app displays the IMDb rating and popularity of each movie along with a link to trailers on Youtube. All those personalizations are clearly visible: movies that you own are highlighted, and colored icons will instantly remind you of how much you like a movie or a person. Last but not least, the personalized movie recommendations are an instant way to know how much you'll like the movies that you haven't seen yet. Movie lovers will get enough hints to decide what to watch from their own collection, on TV, in theaters, or on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Video collectors will easily catalog their entire DVD collection as well as organize their movie files by scanning their disk very quickly and identifying the files automatically. Once added, you'll be able to launch the files from within the app and they'll be played with your favorite media player.I'm looking to download one right now but I can't find one that fits all of my needs. Ideally, I'd like an app that let' me see all of my movies in one place but still lets me sort by media type (DVD, Blu-ray, digital...), let's me add in my own cover if I don't like the one they use, and lets me reorganize my collection instead of leaving it all alphabetical (so I can do things like put Batman Begins with The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises for instance). I just like to keep all of my things organized really well. Ideally I'd also like it to be a nice looking app as well, but maybe there's no one app out there that meets all these criteria. And there's a lot of handy things about using an app as well. I tend to forget about movies I have exclusively as digital copies. It's nice when I have friends or family come over too because I have an easy way of showing them all of the movies instead of looking in all the different places I have them. On my last birthday I challenged myself to watch 208 movies I've never seen before by my next birthday, and I've been keeping track of them on my phone. It let's you sort by various categories (but I like to sort by date watched) and you can add whatever cover you want. And it also helps me keep track of future movies that I want to see or buy but haven't yet. Random example screenshot from 3 months ago(I'm currently up to 142 thank you very much)I use the My Movies Pro app for i OS. It's a few bucks for the pro (I forget exactly) but it's a really nice and clean interface that allows you to scan the barcode of your blu Ray or DVDs to add it or enter the title manually. Idk about digital copies but you can say how it is you own it I believe. It searches an online database for the movies and you can enter them by format and select watched or unwatched and sort that way. I really like it, it syncs up with multiple devices and you can share with friends. Downside is it doesn't do TV which is unfortunate I just have a spreadsheet on Google Docs to keep track of both my physical Blu-ray/DVD library and what films I own digitally across Amazon, i Tunes, Google Play and Ultraviolet. I have been using this app now for many years and to this day it still is the best movie cataloging app on the market. The developers are constantly updating and taking suggestions to heart from their users! I have been using this app now for many years and to this day it still is the best movie cataloging app on the market. The developers are constantly updating and taking suggestions to heart from their users! I've been using this app for a while now and it is great! Thank you SOOOOO very much, don't know what I was doing wrong before! Some day I may get adventurous and do the same for out book and music collection! Occasionally a movie or series or box set will populate with the wrong info but I've contacted support and they are quick and get it corrected! If you have a large collection to catalog this app is for you! I have over 3500 DVDs, don't know what I would have done if I had to re-enter all over again! I’ve been using IMBd for years to record my collection but it was terribly slow and made worse by its last update. I have scanned all my movies in very quickly using the barcodes, or manually input them from their massive database. App 4 1/2 stars There are still a couple of ways it could be better - but there are always improvements and this app is better than it was when I started using it! I’ve even changed some of the covers that I didn’t like for better ones and edited a couple of movie titles to suit myself! Using both the game and movie programs I can keep track of what I have when I'm out and about buying physical media. I’m going to be enjoying this for years for what I would regard as a small monthly outlay. I've used several cataloging apps, but this one is by far the best one. Very easy to use, and has many features that the other apps lacked. If you're a physical media collector, this is the app you want. I've had a spreadsheet logging movies in manually and now with CLZ Movies, I can scan them in and the movie info automatically inserts itself. Also I can look up a movie by title, director, actor, etc. A truly marvellous App, in which you can organise your Movie collection with efficiency. I always needed a lot of help in that department, as I have a bad memory remembering which films that I have got. All the functions that I like so far, are the Seen and Running times features the most. Excellent communication and support, if needed are available. When adding a boxset it gives you the option of adding as a single boxset entry or it will add each film. I have been thru a xouple of other apps for sorting and tracking my 2000 film collection. Which is awesome because it isn't how many cases do I have it's how many films! And this was the deal sealer I can have automatically sorted DIRECTOR folders and can track the collection by DIRECTOR!! Just letting you know of my appreciation for your 2.5.1 upgrade and it's synchronization of links to the cloud. It has led me to a complete redesign of my own blog/web presence. I now use your cloud almost exclusively for my listings and details. It is much less klutzy and considerably more attractive than my own design. Not to say it's perfect, but for me the simple addition of web 'links' has made all the difference. Thanks, It helps me keep track of my ever growing Movie collection and has saved me from doubling up a few times. I have only ever had one issue, which as soon as it was reported to the developer, they responded within the half hour with a fix that solved the issue!!e Xtreme Movie Manager is probably the most advanced Movies/TV Series/Actors collection manager around.
