Fixed: Switching to published application might bring the Parallels Client main window to the front. Fixed: Starting a published desktop in full screen enables Do Not Disturb mode automatically. Fixed: Parallels Client crashes when shortcuts are enabled but not configured. It gives you better control over your remote desktop experience compared to the Misrosoft RDP app but this one still has some minor issues you should be aware of. The most annoying issue currently is that when you are in a full screen remote session, the Parallels client seems to enable Do Not Disturb on the Mac side so you do not receive any of your notifications. It is a neat feature I suppose but should not be the default and you should be able to turn it off. i have confirmed nothing like this happens when I am in full screen using the Microsoft RDP app. That aside, while Parallels still doesn't let you stop the menu bar and dock from showing up when you hover the mouse at the top and bottom of the screen, they have built in some kind of handling that makes it a lot more workable than any other RDP client out there. I think it is just more of a delay but it makes it a non issue whereas on Microsoft RDP, Jump Desktop, Royal TSX, etc. all have the constant problem of inadvertantly triggering the menu bar and dock making it much harder to work. We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the software. Please email us at [email protected] the detailed issue description. I absolutely need the ability to have a virtual environment for work and for personal projects. Having a native solution within OSX is great, having as solution which is fast, has a light footprint, and that gets out of the way is even better! I like Parallels so far (I'm currently using a trial) and plan to purchase it in the next few days when my trial ends. My only suggestion to the developers is this: Get more support for the M1 chip. We need more than the 5 or 6 virtual solutions you've provided.Parallels Desktop for Mac is desktop virtualization software that allows Microsoft Windows, Linux and Google Chrome OSes and applications to run on an Apple Mac computer. The software integrates the guest OS into mac OS, allowing it to mimic native OS performance. Users can choose to run Mac and guest apps side by side on the Mac OS or as a full-fledged guest virtual desktop. For example, users can open a Windows app such as Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player from the Mac Finder utility. Similarly, users can drag and drop documents, folders and other data from Windows File Explorer to Finder and vice versa. Users can also swap between mac OS and Windows without rebooting their computers and select which OS they want specific applications to open in. Coherence mode runs guest and Mac applications side by side in one window. Full Screen mode creates a full guest desktop, and Modality lets users resize and customize virtual machine windows running on top of the mac OS. Parallels Desktop for Mac Business Edition includes centralized deployment and management capabilities for IT administrators to streamline Windows VM delivery. Admins can also link Parallels Desktop for Mac with an update server to ensure that the guest OS stays up-to-date.
